How long is too long?

How long is too long to date someone and not get a big comitment. Such as after dating someone for a while you should move in together to see how things are when you have to see that person day in and day out. For example, I have a firend who has been with her boyfriend for the past 9 year. They have a 6 year old son, they live together. And have been engaged for 5 years. But havent yet gotten married. He keeps changing the dates and says hes not too sure when he wants to get married. So how long does a woman stay around hoping he will finally go through with it?

Me personally, if they dont know after dating me for awhile.. (no more than 3 years) then somethings wrong.Its like woman who stay with thier husbands when they beat them and cheat on them.

9 years!? whoa. yeah, and i'd say she's a bit stuck - having a 6-year-old son and all.

you have to draw the line somewhere.

He has some issues if they have a child & he still doesn't commit.I know guys don't like to be tied down but like the song goes

3 years onwards for me is already too long 5 years will be the max ~

Anyway your fren really get struck, no married also give bath to a son ~ So the son call her bf daddy or uncle ?
