Hello everyone and welcome back to HotClubForums.com! Over the past couple days migrating the site to our new server, I did experience quite a few pitfalls. Not everything is restored to normal, but I am working hard on getting everything back on track. So far, I've only managed to restore the forum. Over the next couple days, I will be testing all the features of the site to make sure they are all working properly. There were quiet a few basic features that didn't work while we were under our old host such as some backup functions. I've already tested those, and they work just fine, and really fast, which is a big plus.  You can help out by posting any errors or bugs in the feedback section if you happen to come across any problems.
I can't say the migration went as smoothly as anticipated considering the length of time the forum was down. From the start I had problems, first was the slow connection times I had retrieving all the data from the old server. Then, while uploading all the files to the new server, I had a power outage, which resulted in me having to wait until Saturday morning to continue uploading the remaining data. As luk3y4 pointed out, there was a problem with logging in for several hours. This would've been corrected sooner, but I was working, and didn't have access to the site until earlier this evening, which now brings us to where we are now.
Some people may have problems reaching the forum, esp. if they have it bookmarked. If you haven't noticed already, the forum url has changed slightly. Instead of /Forum, it's now /forum. If your browser still points to /Forum, you will not reach the forum. So you may have to clear your cookies and cache to view and login to the site.
Here are some of the benifits of the move:
 Faster page load times (I can already tell the difference  )
Little to no more mysql errors
Less operating costs 
More server resources
Broken standard features should be fixed (will be testing)
I just want to take a brief moment to thank everyone for their patience. Now with this obstacle mostly out of the way, I can now turn my attention on making this a great nightlife and entertainment resource!

nice work mate
i had a few troubles yesterday logging in. i would type in all my info (user name, password) and click log in, and it would show me as logged in on the active user panel, but it would still show the login box and i couldnt reply to topics.
anyway, good luck with the rest of it mate! |

Yea I'm loving it too, esp when I see load times go from 5-13 seconds to

i dont know about you guys, but HCF was really slow for me this morning, and topics didnt load at all. all other websites were fine for me.
when i say this morning, i mean australia time, which is about one hour before Kate posted in this thread |

I'm not sure either, [ Time: 0.2206s ][ Queries: 91 (0.0156s) ] and similar is what I've been getting. Of course I'll continue to monitor the load times.

| I have now re-installed the club reviews section of the website. As of right now, I will keep the link only on the portal since there isn't any venues listed yet. Once we get some venues in the database, I will add a link to the reviews section to the top of the forum. I will also change the link to make it user and spider friendly. |
