2nd Annual Domain Name Give Away Contest!

Introduction
HotClubForums.com will be running it's 2nd Annual Domain Name Give Away contest from January 1 - 31, 2008. This year's contest will result in bigger and better prizes! Now is the perfect opportunity to ditch that lame, and long sub-domain that you are currently using for a much shorter, and easier to remember top level domain name!

On January 1, 2008 HotClubForums will introduce a new, temporary virtual money system called DP, short for Domain Points. We will still keep CD for all other prizes and rewards to redeem such as special effects, bar drinks, and real merchandise such as a new Sony Playstation 3. Domain Points can be earned a few ways, either posting on the forum, referring new members, or playing arcade games. Last year's contest brought some great some great activity which lead to 2 outstanding forum members winning a .com domain name for either 1 or 2 years. This year, the prizes are greater, the amount of winners will be more...will you be one of them?

This contest will reward the top 4 DP holders by the end of January, a fully paid domain name, the top 2 DP holders will also be rewarded a fully paid domain name, and free web hosting! First place will win a top level domain name for free for 2 years and 2 years free silver package webhosting account. Second place will win a free domain name for 2 years, and a 1 year free silver package webhosting account. Third place will win 1 year paid domain name, and 1 year basic hosting package account. Fourth place will win a 1 year paid domain name. All domains will be registered private, so no one will obtain your personal information.

Contest Details

As stated before, HotClubForums.com will be running a contest to see which 4 members can obtain the most DP (Domain Points) from January 1, 2008 to January 31, 2008. The contest will begin 12:01 AM est January 1, 2008 and will run to 11:59 PM est January 31, 2008. The member with the most DP by the end of the contest date will win a top level domain name for free for 2 years and 2 years free silver webhosting package account. Second place will win a free domain name for 2 years, and a 1 year free silver package webhosting account. Third place will win 1 year paid domain name, and 1 year basic hosting package account. Fourth place will win a 1 year paid domain name. Once the contest has ended, we will tally up the results to find out who are our top 4 money makers, and contact them via PM. The top level domain name if available can either end in a .com .net .org .biz .info .biz. .ws .us .co.uk

You will be able to earn DP by either posting on the forum, or referring new members to the site (hint hint, referring members will earn you the most CD) or playing arcade games. We have set strict rules against cheating, and have setup various measures to prevent anyone from cheating. This includes:

referring multiple bogus or fake members

allowing people to donate DP to you

posting an over obsessive amount of spam

attempting to figure out the DP payout

copying and pasting from other sources to earn more DP

Rules and Closing

I'd like to make this contest as fun as possible with hardly any limitations, but there are a couple rules you should abide by

1. Any post(s) that contain a large amount of copied text from another source to increase your word count will be deleted.

2. Any bogus referrals will be deleted and your CD will be reduced to 0

sorry but im new so how would we go about refering members to the site is there a link or what?

so you know who reffered them so we can get the cd and dp?

I will have to check if the referrals will give DP, I know they will give CD. I can always manually add DP if it doesn't. You should be able to check your referral ID by viewing your profile and clicking on referral center. In the referral center if you click "invite friend" you can get your ID from the template, for example mine is http://www.hotclubforums.com/forum/profile.php?mode=register&refer_id=2 so I believe yours would be http://www.hotclubforums.com/forum/profile.php?mode=register&refer_id=214

I have the results from the contest. I intended on posting the actual DP amount but we had a storm late last night, resulting in power outage, it just now stopped raining.
