Fashion show clothing

I was just watching some old movie on TV the other day "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead". There was a part in the movie when the girl ran a fashion show at her house, and I was thinking how stupid those clothes looked. Then I flipped through the channels to find a real fashion show on, and started asking myself who in the world would wear something like that.

What's the deal with all these high dollar clothing lines, and why don't I see anyone with this stuff on? Is this a hollywood only type of thing, or do people actually wear these types of clothes?

I don't get it with these fashion shows, as most of the clothing on them I really don't think any one in their right minds would want to be seen dead in them. And this more or less refers to the normal people.

I believe that only wearing those clothes are celebrities for some awards nights...but haven't seen somebody yet in a local party wearing the type of clothes...

I often wonder the same, but here, not only do you have a good chance at finding that stuff in the stores, but the models as well..

Personally, I think the only thing that I have seen on the runway, that actually made it out to the streets, and worn by people here was denim, men's wear, pants, and women's accessories.. then again, I am sure that if I hung around the UES, then it would probably be a different story..

Those fashion show stuff are sometimes annoying but some are good to look at. Especially that some who wore the clothes are gorgeous looking. I saw a fashion show with the team "church dresses" and I found it useful since it gives us people ideas on what to wear when going to church.
