I remember this case very well. I am originally from Vero Beach, FL where Adam's body was found. I remember how everyone was, would not let there kids out of site, no one knew what to think....if there was a child predator on the loose or what. My friend(she lived a block over)her dad was the homicide detective on this case. He was one of the first to go out to the canal where two fisherman found Adam's head. The detective took his german shepard "Satan" with him out on duty. The homicide detective did pass away a few years ago, and he was a great loss.
Throughout the years, I have read John Walsh's book and his story about how he got to where he is today. If it was not for John Walsh and taking things to the higher courts, we may not have had certain laws in order as they are today. I have had the opportunity to meet John, and is a wonderful person.
I am happy for the Walsh's that this case has finally been put to rest. I am sure it is a deadweight lifted off of them.
What happened to Adam was awful, and I know he died tragically, but I hope that his soul is resting in peace.
It's a very tragic story. I can't believe the guy died before he was punished.
I think John Walsh is a wonderful person and has taken his tragic loss to help solve many cases.
