i hate people who brag about anything or everything. I mean, its ok in small amounts, people have the right to be proud of their achievements, but theres a limit.

Me, i pride my self on my knowledge about cars. not many 14 year olds know as much as me. But i wont jump into conversations when people are talking about cars and go off on this endless ramble about engines and stuff like i have witnessed some people do.

so anyway, im walking home and some guy who lives down the street from me comes up beside me and says hi. more of an aquaintance than a friend. So we chat a bit and this guy flies past in his modified car. so he starts talking about cars, then he starts saying "oh yeah, i know a fair bit. i know about hemi's and superchargers and air intakes" and goes on for about a minute about the basics. then he looks at me with this "see, i know more than you" type grin. i think 'screw this' and fire back..."what type of superchargers you know about? positive displacement or centrifugal? and about the air intakes, carb or EFi cars? big difference. and you cant just chuck a huge supercharger on top of a V8, you need to replace the camshaft, rebuild the internals, modify the intake..." blah blah blah. after about a minute of me saying the parts ect he stares at me blankly. gotta love that feeling!

Then i ask "so how much you know about the internals? where it really matters?" and he kinda gives a blank look and says "yeah, a bit...kind of..."

ahh it felt so good... he was being an arrogant smartass thinking he knew more about me, then putting him back in his place...it was great
